Meerufenfushi Maldives

Meerufenfushi Maldives Facilities

Farivalhu Restaurant A comprehensive breakfast is available. Lunch and dinner buffets offer a wide selection of different kinds of food, salads, pasta, meat and fish, as well as a good sweet and fresh fruit selection. Vegetarians and people with special dietary needs are also catered for.

The Maalan Restaurant is exclusively for guests staying at the Meeru Village.

Hungaanu Coffee Shop Offering a wide choice of snacks, the coffee shop is a relaxed place overlooking the sea and next to the swimming pool where light meals are served.

Room service is also available from the coffee shop until 11.00 PM on Meerufenfushi Maldives. The system offered here is flexible, so if you're a late riser and miss out on the buffet breakfast, the Hungaanu Coffee Shop offers an a la carte breakfast menu between 9.30 and 11.30.

In fact there´s no need to worry about missing any meals as there is a choice of snacks, pizza, pasta, and more until late as well as a choice of ice creams and fresh fruit.

The Hagern Yacht and Club 1919 Bar Serving grilled seafood and other cuisine aboard a “restaurant” yacht anchored in the lagoon.

The Asian Wok Specialising in Thai, Indian, Chinese and Maldivian cuisine.

Meerufenfushi Maldives Activities

There is a medley of water sports at the Meerufenfushi Maldives Water Sports Centre. So if you’re into windsurfs, catamarans, canoes or pedal boats, these are all available for your enjoyment and fun.

There’s a swimming pool and tennis court and for those who prefer more relaxed games, a selection of board games in the bars and coffee shop.

The Meerufenfushi Island Resort island hopping tour is a break from the norm... It takes you to Bodu Hura, Kuda Bandos and Kani Resort.

Bodu Hura is a Maldivian fishing village and you’ll have the opportunity to see how the islanders live. There are also several souvenir shops.Kuda Bandos is an uninhabited island with great snorkelling (so don’t forget to take your gear with you!).

Lunch is a barbeque on the beach and the final stop is Kani Resort where you can unwind before returning to Meeru.

The dive school, Ocean Pro and Meeru resort run their own house reef snorkelling and we’d recommend Big Game Fishing and PADI courses and diving excursions to anyone.

Meeru Island Maldives (Meerufenfushi) Specialities

We couldn't wait any longer to mention Meerufenfushi Maldives' renewal of vow ceremony. It's quite simply, a very intimate and well thought our treasured affair.

The Ocean Pro dive school has a good reputation, in particular for the novice diver.

Hmm… Anything else catch your eye?

Snorkel equipment on Meeru Island Maldives can be hired for about $7 a day. If this is not in your budget then invest and buy mask and flippers before you go. It’s also an opportunity buy a mask that’s been fitted for you personally.

Reports have been fed back on the conscientiousness of the resort staff, the quality of their service and how helpful they are. This will always make a holiday worthwhile.

On Meerufenfushi Maldives, the current in the lagoon by the water bungalows can be strong, so be cautious when snorkelling.

Our top tip of course is to never ever snorkel or swim on your own. Whether it’s the Maldives or the Atlantic safety in numbers is always sensible.

Speaking of wind, when the monsoons change direction the wind of course changes and this can mean an increase in noise across the lagoon.

A purely natural phenomenon, it has been known to stir a light sleeper from their bed. We know it happens around November so it may be worth considering this when booking your vacation at Meeru Island Maldives.

We would recommend buying an inflatable sun bed if you don’t have a sun-lounge allocated to your room. The inflatable beds are sold in the resort shop.

Charley and I will buy one of the good quality ones for about $30, have the dive centre inflate it and at the end of out stay leave it for the Housekeeper.

He’ll either loan it on to the next visitor, perhaps for a small rental charge or sell it. Either way it’s an option to make use of something and pay it forward!
