Our top tip for any weddings in the Maldives on an island beach is for the man to take a long sleeve white shirt, preferable all cotton or linen. You will both be dressed in traditional Maldives dress for the ceremony, a sarong for the man and a dress for the woman (the colour of which is generally chosen when you arrive at the resort) but it's always an idea to bring an additional outfit or dress just in case... it is your big day after all!
