Kuramathi Cottage Resort Spa Maldives Overview

Kuramathi Cottage resort and Spa is on the Rasdhoo Atoll.

This group of islands is at the top of the North Ari Atoll and directly to the west of Malé.

It’s a ninety minute speedboat ride from Malé International Airport. If that seems long enough for your bottom to go to sleep then Maldives island travel gives you the option of getting to Kuramathi by Maldives seaplane. This journey takes a brisk twenty minutes.

The Cottage & Spa lies along the eastern shore with its own private pier. This side of the island is protected by a large shallow sandy lagoon as clear as glass.

It's excellent for hesitant swimmers and the other side of the island has the coral reef close to shore so is ideal for snorkelling and diving.

Kuramathi Coconut Village Hotel Maldives or Kuramathi Cottage Resort Maldives is thick with tropical vegetation from delicate and scented frangipani to giant coconut palm. Paths wind their way between the hibiscus and the banyan all over the island. Even with the three resorts Kuramathi can feel like a deserted island at times.

There are 31 beach bungalows at the Kuramathi Cottage.

These come with air-conditioning, a four-poster bed, telephone, mini-bar, bath or spacious open-air shower and balcony as standard.

You’ll have garden views but always only a skip hop and jump from the beaches.

The 50 water bungalows have the same facilities as the beach bungalows except for the outdoor shower which is indoors.

The two water bungalow suites come with privacy in mind. There’s a large sitting room to relax in when you’re not stepping into the lagoon from your terrace.

The bathroom is big with bath and out-door shower.

You also have a separate thatched area that houses your Jacuzzi. Tea, coffee making and TV are provided too.

Package options for Kuramathi Cottage Resort Spa Maldives are bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all inclusive.

Charley and I can happily manage on half board as far as food is concerned. It’s hot and humid so we naturally eat less.
