It’s the quieter end of this large island so we’re not encouraging families to blaze a trail (think of the children and how bored they will get!) but don’t despair, kids are welcome on the island and are usually in the Village and the Cottage & Spa.
Kuramathi Blue Lagoon OverviewThe Blue Lagoon resort on Kuramathi Maldives is about 35 miles from Malé International Airport. This is a breezy 90 minute transfer by boat (even breezier if you’re lucky enough to sit out on deck with the crew and check out the view!) or a swift
15 minutes in the seaplane.
The last transfer to Kuramathi by seaplane is at 1530 hrs.

The 20 Water Bungalows of Kuramathi Blue Lagoon nestle happily near the shoreline so you have a backdrop of lush jungle, banyan and coconut on one side and the infinite stretch of horizon on the other. Your water bungalows come with air conditioning (I know we keep saying this but you will be grateful for the cool!) a mini-bar, in-room digital safe (that’s very simple to use), IDD telephone should you need it, a shower only, balcony terrace and all towels including a large beach one.
There are 36 Beach Bungalows each with the same range of facilities as the water bungalows and the addition of a bath and shower as well as an outdoor shower (go on sing loudly, we dare you!)A perk for those staying at Kuramathi Blue Lagoon is that the fridge in your room is restocked daily with water and soft drinks and if the sound of gentle lapping waves is just too much for you then you’ll be pleased to know that Kuramathi Blue Lagoon rooms also have pipe-in-music.
