Komandoo Island hosts the Kandu Bar and a restaurant. Both come with thatched roofs, wooden furniture and are open-air-over-the-water, all in keeping with the rustic tropical theme you’d expect from well… a… tropical island hideaway! You can expect to sample international cuisine as well as Mediterranean types of food, not forgetting local Maldivian food smothered with tropical fruits… yum! On Komandoo Maldives Island you can take a trip to the gift shop and buy a souvenir or three or perhaps some sun tan lotion and if you simply must keep up with things at home, pop into Komandoo Maldives’ very own internet café and send a “wish you were here” e-mail. If that all seems a bit too much for you then you can always trundle off to the Duniye Spa and have oils infused with scents massaged into your back… Stepping up the pace, why not hop on the treadmill at the small gym… It would be a small gym as it’s only a small island! You can choose to go on snorkel safaris and a day at a desert island where all the food is prepared on the ubiquitous white sandy beaches… Maldives style!  Bring your racket or hire Komandoo’s and take part in tennis or badminton… If you can muster the energy as well as a team why not chance it at volleyball too!For aqua based activities, canoes and windsurfing equipment are plentiful and without charge! As we said earlier, the diving on Komandoo Island Maldives is superb. ProDivers is a 5-star PADI Dive Centere hosted by the base leader of old, a Ms. Rosa Brau and her team who are so professional and welcoming that you can enjoy Nitrox diving at no extra cost… Komandoo seems to have it all! If your holiday in the Maldives is based around diving then hooray! You can choose from any of the 40 dive sites are located in the area around Komandoo. All dive sites are about a 10 to 45 minute trip by boat… and are available every day of the week - mornings and afternoons. There are open water courses as well as night diving courses and underwater photography… I can see Phil’s ready to book his place! If you’re new to the water then Komandoo offer an introduction to snorkelling package too. If you’re not new to the water then Komandoo also provide independent day and night diving a the house reef. Komandoo Island Resort Maldives also offers couples a chance to have a dinner by candle light on the beach, where you make your own menu… Who says “romance is dead!”? In a rather odd twist of events Komandoo issue all inclusive guests with a card that you can present at the bar to let the staff know not to bill you...
