Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa ActivitiesAgain the usual suspects are well represented… But this time many of them are organised and booked through the Recreation Centre. Everything from nature walks and water-skiing to table tennis and kayaking is organised here. On the second floor above the recreation centre there’s also the relaxing library and lounge with splendid seating areas and space to cosy up with a book. You have the choice of plasma TV, books, magazines and board games. Phil and I tend to wander through when we’re at a loose end… perhaps have a game of cards before dinner, read up on the marine life you’ve just seen… The gym is equipped with cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, exercise bikes, rowing and step machines, each with a personal TV and headphones. The aptly named Watersports Centre takes care of all your water-based needs. Non-motorized activities are free and include kayaking, snorkelling, windsurfing, single sail and catamaran sailing. RYA certified instructors are on hand to teach sailing and windsurfing. Water-skiing, parasailing and the wildly hysterically fun tube and banana ride are there to whip you through the breakers and skim the sea at speed… exhilarating! The Island Spa sits on its own island, a dhoni ride away from the resort. As with all the Maldives resorts Spa centres the service and facilities are excellent. Skilled therapists pummel and pull you with effortless ease. Something for everyone here so don’t miss out on a therapy or massage on this bewitching oasis of calm. Kuda Huraa island Diving... As one of the biggest attractions in terms of Maldives tourism; diving in the Maldives means we are all looked after by top-notch professionals. The centres and instructors are top class and Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa is no exception. The Resort operates its own PADI licensed Dive Centre with experienced, multi-lingual instructors. There are a variety of courses to improve diving knowledge and skill. Nitrox and Air facilities are both available.
Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa SpecialitiesYou’re introduced to the music, dance, art and craft of the people with daily trips to the neighbouring fishing village of Bodu Huraa where the traditional Maldivian way of life remains pretty much untouched. The Kids Club The Kuda Mas Kids Club gives your excited children (4 to 12yrs) the chance to have some fun and learn at the same time. Depending on what they’re into you can have them can take part in yoga sessions, go snorkelling with a Marine Biologist. There’s a range of creative activities available from cooking classes to making kites and flying them of course (let’s hope the glue holds….)
Let’s get the mildly annoying things out of the way first! The last time we looked Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa charge for internet usage which some would say is plain daft considering the star rating of the island. Even on holiday some of us have a bit of work to do… Breakfast is included of course but be aware; if you request it to be delivered to your room you’re charged for the complete meal and not just a delivery charge. Again, this is not what you expect from a five star resort and nor is this little known fact advertised so bear it in mind if you’re lying in and don’t like surprises… A petite resort, so at times small issues can become polarised. Don’t let them get to you. Four Seasons Maldives Luxury Resort at Kuda Huraa is nothing short of stunning with service to match. Oh yes… a fabulous wine cellar that will (if you let it) break the bank! You ought to be able to find some pretty good Bordeaux and New World wines for around a Hundred dollars (US).
