Coco Palm Maldives Bodu Hithi Island Bliss
Coco Palm Maldives Bodu Hithi Facilities
You have four restaurants to savour and a glass fronted wine bar to enjoy wines from around the world to the setting sun. The Palm Restaurant & Bar is exclusively for those of you staying in the Escape Water suites. The food is international
which loosely translated means something for everyone. The Wok (I’ve probably given away what it does…) offers an Asian and Oriental fusion of tastes to their international cuisine. The Air Restaurant has the buffet selection and also a la carte menu both of which embrace international cooking and the...
The Seafood Grill & Bar sits over the lagoon.
On Coco Palm Maldives Bodu Hithi, you need to bear in mind that wandering to your table in a pair of trunks and a bikini (not wearing both at the same time of course) will not be allowed. The dress code is smart casual and perhaps just casual at a minimum for the Wok and Air restaurants. Yes we know that people often disregard this, but you need to know that a standard of attire is expected. So pack a pair of slacks (yes you heard me, slacks… lighter than trousers and almost as smart so the Americans say!). The Stars is a restaurant exclusive to those of you staying in the Escape Water Residences (not to be confused with the escape water suites ok?). This restaurants speciality is cuisine from Asia cooked and presented in a contemporary style. Coco Palm Maldives Bodu Hithi also houses an infinity-edged swimming pool with a bar (and showers close at hand if you find heading for the surf a struggle).
Coco Palm Maldives Bodu Hithi Activities The dive school is PADI recognised and there are plenty of dive trips. In addition you can choose from catamaran sailing, windsurfing, water skiing and of course the freedom to snorkel when and where you like. Canoeing, one of Phil’s favourites, is also available. You can snorkel straight from the beach and that is a great advantage for beginners. That’s the reason you see swimmers wearing flippers walking backwards into the sea from the beach. Not a strange water dance but the only way to walk with flippers. Coco Palm Maldives Bodu Hithi charges for most of these and it will go on your bill at the end of your stay. There’s a hard tennis court and the obligatory selection of other taxing sports including table tennis. Fishing trips will show you how to catch and… wait for it… Prepare your fish for dinner.
Coco Palm Maldives Bodu Hithi SpecialitiesThe Coco Spa is spacious and peaceful. Both things you want when relaxing. A range of treatments including massage, facials, aromatherapy and body treatments are on hand to gently pummel and care for you in equal measure It may not sound like anything important but if you’re going with your kids then you’ll be pleased to know that baby-sitting is available for a small charge and cots are provided too. Of course make all reasonable enquiries about the babysitting before you use the service.
Hmm… Anything else catch your eye? All the restaurants are non-smoking. For some this will come as a relief, for others it will involve a brief saunter to the sandy edge of the island and a contemplative puff before returning to table. The villa rooms are all spacious and beautifully designed. There is a charge for snorkel equipment so like us you may want to sacrifice a bit of space in the luggage and take your own. As Phil so succinctly points out to me… I don’t hire my swimsuit where so why would I want to hire a snorkel mask?! If you’re honeymooners or anniversary celebrants then the resort offers Champagne and fresh fruit, an island gift, romantic dinner à deux and sunset cruise for your holiday on Coco Palm Maldives Bodu Hithi.
If you’re staying in one of the Escape Water Villas or Escape Water Residences you’ll have a Champagne breakfast on the house served either in your villa or at the beach. If you’re newly weds on a Coco Palm Maldives honeymoon then you may like to know that there are discounted holiday rates for brides (sorry guys!) so ask your travel agent. This is one of the resort islands that doesn’t put on a Christmas celebration... So if you find yourself on Bodu Hithi in December eagerly anticipating either snow, Father Christmas or a stocking-full of presents then think again.
