Your very own butler will provide you with canapés and two flutes of Champagne when you arrive, just to get you in the mood for luxury. Your can choose the location of your wedding, the beach, sandbank or The Lighthouse. The ceremony will start with a traditional Maldivian 'Boduberu' performance which entails, drummers, singers and dancing. After the ceremony the bride and groom receive a wedding cake, certificate and as a really personal touch, a Baros Maldives wedding also comes with a memorial palm tree planting - to symbolise the new beginning of your next part of your relationship...
Not one to skimp on the bubbly, Baros Maldives also provides another bottle of Champagne either during the ceremony or in the evening.Speaking of evening... You're both treated to a special dinner at the The Lighthouse with... wait for it... wine pairing.
Back at your villa you'll find flowers on your bed as well as essential bath oils... Not satisfied with giving you a fabulous wedding in the Maldives, Baros goes on to provide you with a Champagne honeymoon breakfast served in your villa... To ensure that you've completely recovered from all the celebrations the day before, you're treated to a couples' spa treatment for two whole hours known as the Baros Indigenous Bliss at the Aquum Spa.
What to WearA Baros Maldives wedding starts with providing a traditional sarong for the bride and a Polo shirt for the groom... Well this is the tropics... what on earth would you need top hat and tails for!?
How to Book and Package PricesCharley and I think that a Baros Maldives Wedding lets itself down a little with the price as it doesn't include the photos, album or bouquet.
You can book directly with the resort and the current prices are at $1,980 per couple or £990 Sterling (that includes the now sadly ubiquitous 10% service charge). If you'd like the resort to organise a photographer and album for you, it currently costs about $220 for 36 prints and an album. You can enjoy a romantic sunset cruise - just for the two of you, or perhaps a private dolphin cruise with the ever flowing Champagne and even more canapés, again at an additional cost.
