The Bold
Baros Maldives

Baros Maldives Facilities

Facilities at Baros Island include various water sports – catamaran sailing, canoeing, waterskiing, deep sea fishing, snorkelling and windsurfing on the wide lagoon and house reef.

The PADI dive centre is well organised and offers everything from equipment hire to courses for beginners.

There is a fitness centre and the ''Sen Spa'' with a wide range of therapies and beauty treatments including a personal steam room with rain shower, relaxation tub with spa jets.

You can also arrange to have in-villa massages if the effort of leaving your villa is just too much to contemplate! There are three restaurants and boy are they good.

The Cayenne Grill, Lime Restaurant and Lighthouse all cater to the highest standards.

Breakfast is at the Cayenne and most visitors on half board dine at the Lime.

The Lighthouse is for those moments of gastronomic pleasure that would be spoilt by a daily visit.

Sails bar is beautifully laid out and like the Lighthouse Lounge, woos you with cocktails, comfortable seating, those Maldives views we love and a relaxed friendly ambience.

Baros Maldives Activities

There are water sports galore including, beach volleyball, catamaran sailing, cycling, diving, fishing, a games room with table tennis, jet skiing, sailing, snorkelling (of course), surfing, tennis courts, a volleyball court, water skiing and windsurfing. So it looks like your Olympic training schedule for 2012 is starting early!

Baros Maldives Specialities

The snapper fish main course at the Lighthouse restaurant. Oh yes, and the views from the Lighthouse, this multi-tiered gastronomic centre standing sentinel like off the island… a beacon of really quite excellent dining and cuisine.

The Baros staff are spoken of highly by all visitors. That is a real compliment to the quality of service provided.

Dine at your villa with either a barbeque or picnic. It’s a bit like being invited round to friends, having everything done for you but in fact not leaving home at all… if you see what I mean!

Hmm… Anything Else Catch Your Eye?

Baros holiday resort Maldives also arranges renewal of vows ceremonies Charley suggests reading the review on this as whilst it’s good you can get more for less at other resorts… if you see what she means.

But what better way to holiday than after your Maldives honeymoon you return for a renewal of vows ceremony!!

There’s a snorkelling lesson with the local marine biologis and free snorkelling equipment provided for the duration of your stay.

Be aware that weather conditions can ultimately dictate if an activity takes place or not.

Charley and I generally put our name down a couple of times for the trips we are keen on...

If the weather is bad for the first pre-arranged trip, we figure that the second trip on a different day will have better conditions.
