Bandos Maldives OverviewThe Maldives has over a thousand islands strung out for just as many miles down to and past the equator. Bandos Resort is just around the corner from Malé and of course if you like day trips, the ones to Malé are frequent and not to be missed. Bandos Maldives has a reputation for good beaches and its sister island, the uninhabited Kuda Bandos, is only a few minutes away by boat. Bandos is rugby ball shaped, about half a kilometre long and 400 metres wide but sadly no rugby (much to Phil’s dismay)… Ah well you’ll just have to find something else to do! There are 103 spacious Standard rooms with a cottage feel (so if you need to add an extra bed for a little one, there’s plenty of room!) and come with beach chairs on your own patio. There are 12 Garden villas situated in the middle of the island with gardens, they also come with a four-poster bed. Deluxe rooms, 48 Junior Suites, with partitioned living and sleeping spaces are ideal for families. They also come with open air showers and a bathtub. 2 Water Villas that house a plasma TV, tea and coffee making facilities as well as a four-poster bed, daybed and Jacuzzi. 48 Jacuzzi Beach Villas, 48 beach front villas that come with… You guessed it an open air Jacuzzi with thatched roof shade. The following facilities are available in all rooms on Bandos Maldives: Baby Cots (available on request), air conditioning IDD telephone, hair dryer, electronic safe, mini bar, satellite TV, tea/coffee making facilities, sun beds and a daily housekeeping service. Bandos offers all the vacation packages including bed and breakfast, half board, full board and the all-inclusive package. Remember that the essence of these packages is the same on all Maldives resorts but details such as access to certain facilities, availability of bottled water can vary from resort to resort. And as Phil and I never tire of saying to you all… Check and check again with your travel agent and with the island resort. Make sure you know what you are getting. 
Bandos Maldives FacilitiesIf you can't bear to be without your laptop, there's Wireless Internet access (WiFi) in some areas and a cyber café. There's also a souvenir shop that also stocks beachwear and jewellery Shop.Before dinner, meander over to Sundowners (restaurant and bar) and chill out in front of nature’s nightly panorama of colourful brilliance. The best show you’ll see.
Sigh… The Sand Bar... no not that sort of sand bar, is the resort island's beach bar and great for tropical cocktail tasting or grooving on the dance floor. The Sand Bar is open from 7.30 in the morning till late at night. And if you're all inclusive, you can get a discount to dine at at both The Harbour and Sea Breeze Café (Coffee Shop). The Sea Breeze Café can be found at the water's edge spilling over an over-water deck allowing you to peruse the lagoon as you eat. You can choose from an a là carte menu or if you're feeling more relaxed, they'll knock you up a pizza! The Sundowners Bar was given its name as it is one of the best places on Bandos Maldives to watch the sunset. The bar is open daily between 7:30AM to 7:30 PM It would take up an entire website to list all the activities to be found on Bandos Maldives. So we’re not going to do that. Suffice to say you have a lot to participate in when you’re not lazing away down on the beach. The physical aspect of your stay is taken care of with spa, steam room and sauna facilities! There are classes for those of you into aerobics and a gym if you want to let off steam and flex a bit of muscle. Enjoy two swimming pools including one that comes with a separate children’s area or perhaps try your hand at scuba diving. scuba diving. Back on land, floodlit tennis courts, badminton and board games mean you can have a day off the beach making full use of the island’s varied facilities and at night you can try the Karaoke. You can also choose from a popular range of excursions including island-hopping, Malé shopping, night fishing, and barbecues on the adjacent island of Kuda Bandos. The Paradise Club offers a range of fitness options from gym workouts and equipment to spa massage therapy... So as you can see, Bandos Maldives overdelivers on activities! Bandos has a fully equipped Dive School staffed with PADI qualified instructors. Kids' Club with Babysitting Service for those families travelling with young children. The Kids' Club is free and the staff can also provide free baby-sitting between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (after this time there is a small charge).
