Ideal For…This is a popular resort with all those wanting some peace and privacy. It’s a chilled out resort wearing its credentials of luxury with ease and frequented by couples and newlyweds alike. It’s North West of Malé International Airport and a swift thirty minutes by speedboat.Angsana Resort Spa Maldives AccommodationOf the 45 Angsana Maldives Villas 20 come with an open-air Jacuzzi. They are all spacious and bright with fresh interior colours complementing the tropical vegetation outside.Thatched roofs blend the villas with the trees and seamlessly circle the island. French doors and muslin-like curtains give a feeling of openness and elegance with views to the beach and lagoon.Your villa has a private garden area screened by bushes and a terrace with seating. There’s a hair dryer but most prefer to bring their own, a CD player, mini-bar and tea making facilities. I didn’t mention air-conditioning because it is standard my friends. But if you insist I’ll spell it out, Angsana villas all have air-conditioning. The food is excellent and on a par with the Banyan Tree next door... Psst… Some say it’s better… You can sit out over the water and make use of the extensive wine list. The Bar is rimmed with lights and the wooden eaves hang with lanterns. Candles light the tables. The sea gently rubs shoulders with the wooden deck as you gaze out at the sparkling celestial vault overhead… Sigh… Bliss. The Spa is large for a small island and provides all the treatments and massages you could want in private secluded pavilions. Aromatherapy is a speciality but don’t turn your nose up at a full body massage with aloe-vera after a few days snorkelling! 
Angsana Resort Spa SpecialitiesThe beaches on Angsana are the finest you could hope to tramp across in bare feet and flop down on.The house reef is stunning so take fins snorkel and mask and discover rays, turtles, baby reef sharks (yes they are cute and swim a mile when they hear you splashing about in the shallows). There’s no organised entertainment in the evenings and there’s no television... That's right, unlike other resorts, there isn't any Karaoke, discos or Maldives crab racing... Which is why Phil insisted on putting this bit of news under Specialities!
